Minimum age: 8​​

Our piercing experts are committed to making your child’s experience comfortable, positive, and empowering. We pierce children ages 8 and older, when they’re better able to understand the process, communicate how they’re feeling, follow aftercare instructions, and make the choice for themselves.

Piercing should feel like a special milestone—never something a child feels pressured to do. If your child is hesitant or unsure, we’re always happy to wait. There’s no rush, and they can come back whenever they feel ready.

Why don't you Pierce children under 8?​

We’ve chosen age 8 as our minimum because children are generally better able to understand what to expect, communicate with their piercer, and handle the brief discomfort of a piercing. Every child is different, but our priority is making sure they’re ready and comfortable with the experience.

Why don't you pierce infants?

We do not pierce infants primarily for safety and healing reasons. Their earlobes are still small and developing, and babies are more likely to touch, tug, or irritate a fresh piercing, which can make proper healing and aftercare more difficult.

Waiting until children are older allows for safer placement, easier aftercare, and better communication throughout the healing process—while also allowing them to participate in the decision themselves.
